Biocon Bristol-Myers Squibb, Syngene International Limited, Bangalore is hiring for Bioinformatics Position. Ph.D. degree 0-3 years of relevant work experience Or Masters - 3-5 years of experience in NGS analysis. o Analysis of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data and data from other high throughput platforms. o Sound experience in analysis of NGS data from transcriptome and genome. An in-depth understanding of all the tools in data alignment, transcript prediction is must. o Strong understanding of statistical concepts for randomization, experiment design, hypothesis testing, differential gene expression from multi-factor experiments. o Classical and Bayesian Statistics (Demonstrated with application in projects) o Demonstrated Machine Learning Experience: Regression, Support Vector Machine, Decision Tree, Neural Network o Strong statistical programming skills in R, Matlab. o Proficient in coding in java, perl or python. o Ability to work in ‘nix’ like environment and shell scripting. o Establishing workflow language based pipelines.
